About the Client
Hancock Prospecting is one of Australia's largest private mining and agriculture companies. Among its assets is Roy Hill, a world-class integrated iron ore mining, rail, and port operation in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
National Mining Day celebrates the mining industry's contribution to Australia’s economy, infrastructure, and way of life. In 2023, the event featured a gala dinner under the stars at Roy Hill Mine, bringing together executives, stakeholders, and guests from across the country.

Our Role
As part of a back-to-back dual-location production across two countries, TDM managed all logistics, permissions, and planning required for elite media delivery in an active mine site setting. Our team included a Director of Photography, Chief Drone Pilot, event photographers, videographers, and on-site editors.
The unique challenge of this event included capturing keynote speeches onboard two private charter flights between Indonesia and Western Australia, followed by seamless handover into ground-based filming at Roy Hill.
With high-profile attendees and media expectations, our discreet yet thorough approach ensured every detail was covered — while same-day assets reached national media outlets within hours of the event ending.
