Project Overview
TDM was engaged by Ozsail to deliver a comprehensive media asset update across their fleet — a full-library refresh covering four vessels across multiple locations throughout the Whitsunday Islands. The brief was straightforward: give Ozsail a complete, professional visual library they could deploy across their website, marketing, and social media with maximum flexibility.
With locations including Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, and Butterfly Bay, this was as much a logistical challenge as a creative one — coordinating four vessels, multiple shoot windows, and the tidal and weather variables that come with working on the water in the Whitsundays.
About the Client
Ozsail is one of the Whitsundays’ most established sailing charter operators, running multi-day sailing adventures through the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park from Airlie Beach. Their fleet includes the Avatar — the only trimaran charter in the Whitsundays and one of the fastest racing yachts in Australia — alongside the 80′ maxi Spank Me and the pocket maxi Mandrake. Ecotourism certified and handling thousands of guests each year, Ozsail has built its reputation on authentic, adventure-driven sailing experiences through one of Australia’s most spectacular natural environments.
Production Scope
- Full photography library update across four vessels — on-deck, lifestyle, detail, and action coverage
- Drone and aerial photography at key locations including Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, and Butterfly Bay
- Videography across all vessels — raw footage and edited video selects delivered for in-house use
- Ground and water-level photography capturing the guest experience, crew, and onboard lifestyle
- All photo assets delivered in high resolution, low resolution, and web-optimised formats
- Video delivered as raw footage and curated selects — giving Ozsail’s team full editorial flexibility
Locations
Capture was conducted across multiple key Whitsunday locations — each chosen to showcase both the vessels and the natural environment they operate in:
- Whitehaven Beach — the world-renowned silica sand beach on Whitsunday Island
- Hill Inlet — the iconic tidal inlet with its swirling sand and water patterns, best captured from altitude
- Butterfly Bay — a sheltered anchorage on Hook Island, known for calm water and reef snorkelling
