Project Overview
The Queensland Community Energy Forum (QCEF) came to Proserpine on Friday, 20 March 2026, bringing over 130 local residents, landholders, Traditional Owners, industry representatives, and government officials to the Proserpine Entertainment Centre. TDM was engaged to provide full event media coverage — videography, photography, and content creation — capturing both the formal sessions and the community conversation happening around them.
Hosted by Coexistence Queensland in partnership with the Whitsunday Regional Council, Queensland Renewable Energy Council, and Queensland Resources Council, the forum discussed the region’s upcoming energy and resources projects and how they intersect with local landholders and neighbours.
This was an immediate-delivery production. TDM’s team provided a rush turnaround on all media, with photo and video deliverables ready for distribution by the close of the event. Using simultaneous stream and same-time editing processes over high-speed Starlink connectivity, priority vox pops and video news releases (VNRs) were delivered to news stations including WIN and Channel 7 for same-day broadcast.
About the Event
The Queensland Community Energy Forum brings together residents, landholders, Traditional Owners, industry, and government to discuss regional energy and resources projects. The Proserpine forum was co-hosted by Coexistence Queensland, the Whitsunday Regional Council, the Queensland Renewable Energy Council, and the Queensland Resources Council — bringing key focus areas including the region’s energy future, local landholder and neighbour engagement, and practical, locally relevant project information to the community.

With over 130 attendees moving through the Proserpine Entertainment Centre across the day, TDM ran a simultaneous stream and same-time editing process on-site, supported by high-speed Starlink connectivity — meaning vox pops, VNR content, and event highlights were being cut and delivered while the forum was still underway. That workflow meant WIN and Channel 7 had broadcast-ready content in hand for same-day coverage, without waiting for the crew to leave the venue.
