Project Overview
Held in Nebo, within Queensland’s Bowen Basin region, the 2024 Queensland Community Renewables Forum (QCRF) brought together government, industry, and community leaders to discuss the future of renewable energy in regional Australia. TDM was engaged to provide full-scale media coverage across the event — event videography, professional photography, same-day edited highlights, video news releases, and on-site interviews with council members, community leaders, and resource advocates.
With a fast-turnaround editing workflow supported by Starlink connectivity, TDM delivered real-time video to national broadcasters and local stakeholders from Nebo — ensuring same-day coverage even from a remote regional location.
About the Client
The Queensland Community Renewables Forum brings together government, industry, and community leaders to discuss the future of renewable energy in regional Queensland. Held in Nebo, at the heart of the Bowen Basin, the forum reflects the growing conversation around renewable energy development and its impact on regional communities.
The Nebo forum was hosted by the Queensland Renewable Energy Council in partnership with Isaac Regional Council, Coexistence Queensland and the Queensland Government.

On Location
Delivering same-day coverage from Nebo required a mobile production workflow built for remote regional conditions. With Starlink connectivity supporting real-time editing and delivery, TDM was able to turn around interviews, highlights, and VNR content for national broadcasters and local stakeholders on the same day the event took place — demonstrating the kind of fast, reliable regional production capability that government and community events in remote Queensland locations demand.

Outcome
QCRF received event highlights, six interview videos, photography and video news releases for same-day distribution and ongoing communications. The coverage helped share the forum’s discussions with broadcasters and community stakeholders beyond Nebo.
The project demonstrates TDM’s capacity to film, edit and deliver event media from regional locations. That same-day production capability also features in our QCEF Proserpine 2026 coverage.
