Project Overview

TDM was engaged to capture the opening night of Two Fathoms Brewing — the Whitsundays’ first dedicated small-batch brewery — at their taproom on Commerce Close, Cannonvale. Launching in January 2026, the venue drew a packed crowd from across the region, with the energy of a community that had been waiting for exactly this kind of local institution.

The brief was to capture the atmosphere, the people, and the brand in motion — not a polished product shoot, but a genuine record of a significant opening night. Raw energy, full bar, and a room that didn’t stop all night.

About the Client

Two Fathoms Brewing is the Whitsundays’ home-grown small-batch brewery, founded by head brewer Liam and based in Cannonvale, a stone’s throw from the Airlie Beach foreshore. The brewery produces a full range of coastal-inspired beers — from the flagship Ahoy Lager and Island Hopper Pacific Ale through to Neptune’s Nectar IPA and the Black Anchor Stout — with a rotating lineup of seasonal releases and specialty brews. The taproom pairs fresh pours with chef-led share plates, built around the laid-back Whitsunday lifestyle.
