Proserpine Energy Forum: Same-Day Event Photography and Video

Professional videography, photography, drone footage at a panel event

An event’s story starts travelling while the room is still full. At the Queensland Community Energy Forum in Proserpine on Friday 20 March 2026, our TDM team combined event photography and videography with on-site editing to get priority material ready for newsrooms that same day.

The Proserpine forum brought together more than 130 residents, landholders, Traditional Owners and representatives from industry and government at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre. Hosted by Coexistence Queensland with regional and industry partners, it created an opportunity for discussion about energy development and community participation.

Capturing the discussion, then making it usable

Our brief extended beyond a record of the presentations. We captured photographs and video across the event, produced a same-day highlights edit and a video news release, and recorded six vox-pop interviews to include community perspectives in the media package.

That combination gives organisers different ways to tell the story. Photographs can accompany written updates; highlights bring the atmosphere and main moments together; interview material allows people attending the forum to explain their views in their own words. A video news release packages relevant footage for a newsroom’s own reporting.

An editing workflow built around the deadline

For this project, filming and editing happened in parallel. Our on-site workflow included Starlink connectivity so priority files could be transferred without waiting until the crew returned to the studio. Material was delivered to WIN and Channel 7 for same-day broadcast coverage.

The practical challenge is choosing and organising footage while capture continues. An event team needs clear priorities: which moments establish the setting, which interviews carry the story, and which assets the recipient needs first. Planning those requirements before the day helps the final delivery serve the organiser and the media outlet.

Building on earlier regional forum coverage

This project followed our event photography and videography for the 2024 Nebo forum. Returning to this type of work gives us a clear understanding of how presentations, panel discussions and community conversations fit into a useful event media package.

The full Proserpine forum project shows the scope of our coverage and delivery. For organisations planning an event in the Whitsundays or regional Queensland, our videography and photography services can be planned around the assets you need and when you need them.
